Rusted tin cans on the veranda of MAPSA, Richmond, South Africa
The installation evokes post-colonial waste, material, moral and political. It implied an edifying trip to the town’s dumping site. The forms of the tin cans rusted, bent, melting into each other are very beautiful and, once placed all over the Γ of the terrace, they produced wonderful spontaneous wind symphonies.
